How to get rid of static background hum I don't know how to fix this, so if you have any more ideas, please let me know. It's a GUILD guitar with a fishman acoustic guitar pick up, I've tried cleaning all the outlets with some ethanol, but that didn't help. |

How to get rid of static background hum Ah crap, it's a loose connection between the battery and guitar body microphone, I was fiddling around with the mic and suddenly the hum wen't away but now it's back. Besides the solution involving flesh touch metal, applying slight pressure on the plastic body of the microphone casing seems to solve the problem. Now how do I fix this permanently... |

How to get rid of static background hum I've done some more digging, it's only my acousting guitar that has this hum, and it has an internal microphone that produces this hum when set to max, although everything is silent. I can always eliminate the hum simply by putting any fleshy part of myself against any conducting material along the way. This is why it's so freaking annoying. I should have to do something like that. I don't have to be in contact with anything else as well. It' enough if I just put a finger on the metal casing without touching anything else and the hum goes away. |

How to get rid of static background hum Connected to the backpanel of a desktop computer. We use CEE 7/7 plugs where I live, I can flip these, basically, pull out the chord, rotate 180 degrees and plug back into socket. You think that will help? |

How to get rid of static background hum I've had the issue with several different types of cables, grounding issue, don't know. How do I ground my audio interface properly? There's nothing funky going on, it's an Audio Kontrol 1 interface from Native Instruments connected through USB. |
