I'm an independent developer with a systems and database administration background. Especially interested in touch interfaces and networked applications.
I develop iOS apps using Objective-C and CocoaTouch, Android apps using Java and the Android SDK, some server side code in PHP and Java, some client side web code in JavaScript (primarily using JQuery), HTML, and CSS, and just recently I've been working with C# and the Mono framework for platform agnostic development that doesn't require a JRE install.

Mapping Mod and Pitch bend controls to a knob in Ableton? I know this is now a really old question, but what I ended up doing since I use Omnisphere as my main synth was mapping two of the regular CC knobs to control pitch and mod directly in Omnisphere instead of Ableton. Still sucks though because for real expression the tiny knobs on my APK Mini suck for those purposes, so I still need to get another controller with proper mod and pitch wheels anyway. |

Is there ANY software that will play the lossless part of HD-AAC (aka MPEG-4 SLS)? Sorry but that's not correct. The page you linked to is for HE-AAC and specifically says not to be confused with MPEG-4 SLS. Also, "AAC - MPEG-4 part3" just refers to standard AAC compression placed into an mpeg-4 container, not MPEG-4 SLS. The actual MPEG-4 SLS wikipedia page doesn't list any compatible software players, just information on licensing the codec. |

Mapping Mod and Pitch bend controls to a knob in Ableton? I see what you're saying but none of the synths in Ableton or the VSTs I use have a pitch bend or mod parameter to assign control to. As I understand it, they just expect a particular midi message from the keyboard, which of course my keyboard doesn't provide (which then affects the associated envelopes that I was trying to control before). I guess what I need to do is find out what midi message is sent when pitch bend/mod wheels are operated and try to use the APK Mini config utility to get it to send those messages from 2 of the knobs or something... |

Mapping Mod and Pitch bend controls to a knob in Ableton? The issue I'm having is that I can't seem to select the pitch or mod envelopes to assign them to a knob. When I'm in midi map mode they aren't clickable like other controls. Do you know how to do that? |
