Can I place a DI box between my amplifier and my guitar cabinet to record my signal? See my update for a diagram of how it should be set up to achieve the 'amp' sound at the correct impedance for recording. This allows you to capture the amp and effects prior to recording without having to use a microphone on the speaker and without purchasing a special DI that can bear speaker load. |

An open source sound editor, but not Audacity? +1 on Reaper. It's as simple or as complex as you want it to be, it runs on everything practically, and though it's not free the nag is the only drawback to using it past trial. Shareware that's worth putting to use on major projects is a pretty huge feat. |

Can I place a DI box between my amplifier and my guitar cabinet to record my signal? Does your head have an FX loop on it? |

Mixing Alnico and Ceramic on 1969 Fender Bassman It does have an external speaker out - however it has only 1 out of 4 speakers currently mounted in it. In other words - i have to replace 3 empty speaker holes anyhow - should I go with my plan above? I like your idea though and I have many auxiliary cabs as it is. Cheers. |
