What production tools should we look at for a weekly podcast +1 on this. Skype is at the core of every podcast I've ever listened to. It's best to do the recording on the computer of the person that speaks most frequently, since they'll get the benefit of an uncompressed recording. Try to get some pre-show recordings to play around with too, so you can find out what mastering settings work best for each speaker. |

Where can I find free sound effects? Keep in mind that a lot of these have been used hundreds or thousand times over, so even casual listeners may recognise them as re-used samples. There's a particular fire engine horn sample in there that's been used in at least a few hundred games, movies, TV episodes, etc. |
