Legality of Sound Bites Depends also on country and local laws. Some artists are flattered, others frown, some artists are limited by the record company they are assigned to even if they don't mind being "sampled". |

How to beatmatch a section of a track using free software (on Windows) to create a ringtone? It's not beat-match per-se you need, but editing by signature and bars. The track has 4/4 signature. Count 64 bars (4 beat per bar) to find loopable points as this track is produced by modern dance track patterns (16+16 bars x 2). |

Traditional animation techniques and 30fps software animation? @GeorgeProfenza The 12 fps comes from that the silver movies was/are played back at 24 fps. Disney found that 12 fps still worked but reduced the work to 50% (and instead photographing two frames for each drawing instead of one). The "12" is just an accident/consequence from the fps used for movies (although, 8 or 1/3 obviously didn't work so well). There is nothing wrong trying to use 10 fps if you're using 30 fps. |

Cubase, midi device and Latency @cworner1 No problem. Certainly, softsynths are a factor as they process everything (excluding helper-hardware which do exist) on the CPU, but anything doing this like effects (especially reverb and complex dynamics) do this too "preventing" the cpu to fill the buffers. It's all about how much cpu-time the CPU has left after X processes something. |
