Software developer. I work primarily in C#, Silverlight, SQL, and ASP[.NET] at work and home, but am trying to find a new practical language to learn that isn't quite so C-based. Right now I'm refreshing my abilities in functional programming with some F#. Also somewhat experienced with C++, PHP, Java, LaTeX, HTML/CSS, WPF, and a touch of Scheme.

Quantizing audio @Kim - you should repost your comment as an answer; since it pertains to Cubase there's a much bigger chance it'll work out for me. |

How can I get good reverb with audacity? This is a great idea, and I'm not sure why I never thought of it. (Although it is probably because I would never use Audacity to add effects to my audio, preferring a DAW with real-time capabilities.) |

How do I get a mix with two heavy bass elements to not sound muddy? Or use a combination of both—add some extra high end to the kick sample to make it stick out from the bass line while at the same time side-chaining so the kick's lower frequencies aren't drowned out. |

FireWire or USB Not gonna say either USB or FireWire because I use actual audio cables and a sound card for recording, and I think it's the best way. |

All-round vocal mic Before I read the second sentence, I was going to recommend Shure SM58... it's what I have and I love it, so can't really help. :\ |
