comment Daw software that understand about notes and chords
The plugin you mean would be Melodyne, by Celemony, which actually does a pretty good job in separating notes out of chords. I used it in several occasions and I was generally happy with what it was capable of.

Checked it, and you are completely right. My mistake, answer edited. Actually, this option makes it a very interesting machine!

While correct, the question is clear enough: is there software available AT ALL at a certain budget.

comment In Ear Monitors - Alternatives?
Ah, sorry, I am using this word incorrectly. (English is not my first language, so although I am almost never having issues with it, every now and then I get an issue like this.) What I mean is "It is liable to get a lot of answers that are piece by piece correct, though none of them is the best.". Example question: "What is a good pre-amp with 2 channels?"

comment Open-source alternatives for plug-ins.
Fixed the title. - Cross-platform plugins is something that is very rare, if not unavailable at all. Waves for instance creates plugins that run on OS X and Windows, but they use different builds for their plug-ins, i.e. you are not using the same plugin. So: could you please say something about why you are looking for these plug-ins?

As stated in the original question: no routing. (So no mixing.)
