How to change the current playing tone via MIDI I think you mean tone, not tune? Also, your synth may support splits and layers, or otherwise use different programs for the keys and MIDI interface. Check the manual for details. |

How can I reproduce an XG voice faithfully in a Performance on Yamaha MU-100 Can you be more specific about how the patches sound different in performance mode? Usually this kind of thing is due to limited internal effects. In one-sound mode, you get the full effects unit. But in performance mode, each of the sounds share the same effects unit. So if you are working with sounds that have different effects, they won't sound the same when played together. |

How to use Emotiv EPOC or Ambient TheAudeo with Ableton Live? It just seems like a really spammy way to approach your question. All you are asking is "how do I interface this hardware with Ableton Live, ideally via a plugin." The actual device is secondary to the question, but you give it top billing. |

Is this audio signal path enough/correct? You might also consider a standalone recorder like the Olympus LS-100 instead of the Apogee. This will allow you to work untethered from your mac. |

Is this audio signal path enough/correct? If you plan on using your Apogee as a mic pre, then you may not need the Cloudlifter. But it might be nice to have it, just to compare with the Apogee's pre. I think that attempting to save money by buying an older Firewire Apogee and a FW to Thunderbolt adapter will be an exercise in frustration. Use the native IO ports on your Macbook Air. Avoid converters where ever possible. |

Is it possible to separate voices from one mp3 file? That makes sense. Spectrally complex sounds are much harder to isolate than spectrally compact sounds. |

Zoom H2 recordings with two different mic settings. How can I match them now? yes, sum the stereo track. For the track with a front and back channel, you want just the front channel. |

Zoom H2 recordings with two different mic settings. How can I match them now? Your software should have a function called something like "convert to mono". |

Zoom H2 recordings with two different mic settings. How can I match them now? In that case, just use the front sound from that recording. Convert the other recording to mono to match it by either picking the left or right channel, or by summing them both to mono. Then adjust levels to suit. You can't subtract out the reverb from the back channel, and can't have any stereo effect with that one front facing channel. |

Zoom H2 recordings with two different mic settings. How can I match them now? Try taking your two sound files and converting them both to mono. Be sure not to overwrite the original files when saving. Next, adjust the volume of the louder file until it flows smoothly with the quieter file. Finally, render these two files into a single continuous file. This process will be easier if Audition has a multitrack mode. |

Are there any mixing DAC chip software simulators? This seems like a better question for dsp. From an AVP perspective, just grab a midrange audio interface like the MOTU 828 mk3 and pull the inputs into your favorite DAW to do the mixing there. |

Zoom H2 recordings with two different mic settings. How can I match them now? Do you mean that you first recorded with the four-channel dual-stereo setting, and then recorded with two-channel stereo? |

Free automatic composer, for commercial use Generative music should be a valid topic for AVP, and an automatic composer is a special case of generative music. |

Can MADI run on OM3 (50/125) fibre? what is MADI? You mention video at the end of your question, but it isn't clear how (or if) this is relevant to audio or video production. |
