I work as a Linux systems administrator & applications developer for a libraries resource sharing organization in Minnesota. I'm responsible for about a half-dozen Linux servers and a little empire of internal web applications written in PHP & Python.

I'm a strong advocate for FOSS, libraries, and information & technology literacy (including my own).

Stack Overflow makes me a better programmer while I can offer my own help to make others better programmers.

comment How can I pop out a pushed in woofer dome?
For me, the trick with the tape was to pull sideways, rather than straight out. Probably due to the small size of the caps, and the jaggedness of the dents.

@mrplough My first several attempts failed, but eventually I got them partially out with blue painter's tape. I was then able to massage them from the sides to pop out the remaining dent. Some small visible creases remain but the caps are convex again.

@mrplough How indented was your dome? Fully inverted, or kind of dented in? Mine are dented in irregularly.
