Wireless lapel mic (for use with Canon 7D) recommendations Yeah cool, thanks mate. I've used one of these before and they do a really good job. Running into the 7D would be a lot easier, although I know the sound card in the camera would reduce the quality of the audio. Would you by any chance be able to recommend another one that preforms well but is a little bit cheaper? I'll leave this a couple of days incase other people want to answer – if not then I'll accept this one. Cheers. |

Wireless lapel mic (for use with Canon 7D) recommendations Thanks for the suggestion. I have a Zoom H4 at my disposal but am specifically looking for a wireless lapel. |

Workflow for making interesting videos I attempted to answer this and then got stuck. What kind of travel video are you trying to make? Will you be talking to the camera or will you simply just be shooting the things you see? Also, do you want to make a single video or a series? |

Is it possible to make changes over several clips at the same time when color correcting? No, but you could use the same method to create two sequences. |

Why does media show up in Final Cut but errors when rendering in Compressor? Do you go File > Send to > Compressor? Also, have you rendered all media in FCP before opening Compressor? |

What is the difference between an amateur and a professional camcorder? Indeed, manual controls are the main difference. But obviously the more money you spend the better hardware you're going to get. |

Is it possible to make changes over several clips at the same time when color correcting? Yeah, I guess if you don't have a deadline that could be the case. The only thing I could suggest is exporting a lossless video of all the shots that you want to have the exact same grade, grading that the way you want it and then re-cutting it. Possibly more effort than it's worth as copying and pasting a grade is very simple and can be done quickly with keyboard shortcuts. |
