Bought Energy take 5 speakers with Sony STR DN 1030 av receiver with Polk sub woofer. I installed everything, but sound does not come out of the rear Energy take speakers. Is there something that I missed. I tried going to GUI mode on SONY and setting up speaker configuration. The front , center and sub woofer work great. I am a novice when it comes to audio, home theater set up and this is my first time trying something like this.

Double check that you've hooked up your surrounds in the correct terminals on the rear of the amplifier. It appears to have the option of bi-amping or using the terminals for surround. Just double check that you're using the correct ones.

Also, on the front of the unit, there is a Speakers button on the left. Be sure you're sending signal to the same speakers, A or B, that you've got your surrounds hooked up to.

The energy take 5 speakers.. does it matter which ones are front and which ones are surround? There is no clear marking on it one way or the other. Thanks for the response though. I will check what you said.. and post back. – user1792441 Nov 5 '12 at 20:44
@user1792441, If they are otherwise identical, no, it doesn't matter. Good way to troubleshoot whether or not it's the speakers though. Swap fronts and rears... make sure there isn't actually something wrong with the speakers themselves. – JoshP Nov 5 '12 at 21:28
