This HOSA cable/adapter says it has a TRSF adapter. Is that a typo? What is TRSF?

TRS is tip- ring-sleeve. This is a common term.

As per the comments below, the F indicates the female end, or socket.

The F does stand for female. @ObscureRobot both TRS an TS come in male and female connectors. TRS has three conductors, allows for stereo unbalanced or mono balanced operation. – JPollock Oct 28 '12 at 20:44
yes - but the Amazon description reads "1/4 in TRSF to Dual 1/4 in TS". It should probably end with "Dual 1/4 in TSM". – ObscureRobot Oct 29 '12 at 3:22
