I have a user who would like to record interviews done remotely, e.g. via Skype, and we need a decent set of recording software to make this happen. I've done research, but the restrictions we have are making it difficult.
Restrictions:
1. Simplicity of use. The user is not a power user. The easier to use the better.
2. Editing. We need a program that will allow simple editing to put the video together, the user cannot spend a great deal of time editing this video and the user is not adept at advanced video editing.
3. Size restrictions. The videos cannot take an excessive amount of space. We attempted to use Vodburner which fit the first two restrictions perfectly. It was almost ideal, however the video files were excessively large. For a 10 minute interview we were running around 20gb in file size, which is unsustainable for what we have.
I'm not sure what options are out there. I'm not sure there's much that will fit into this scope, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask the community. Thanks in advance.
