Before I began caring about the quality of my music, I purchased and downloaded a significant amount of music online. Most of the music is 320 kbps MP3.

Do services exist that would scan a music library and allow you to download a lossless version of the music in your library (like FLAC)? If such things exist, can you recommend one (or more)?

This question is not a good fit for the Audio and Video Production web site. I'll move it to the Web Apps site where it might fit better. – Friend Of George May 16 '12 at 16:58

Unfortunately this would break copyright laws in many countries, so your best bet might be to actually use iTunes, Amazon our other service and buy all the ones you want.

I guess you could try to script something that used one of these services to automate the process, but be prepared to spend a lit of money if you get it wrong:)
