Audio-Video Production Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for engineers, producers, editors, and enthusiasts spanning the fields of audio, video, and media creation. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I've been desperately trying to find a simple "widget" that sits on my desktop and visualizes any system audio. Preferably something simple, somewhere between a VU meter and a full on visualizer (geiss, milkdrop, etc). Perhaps a simple spectrum analyzer, but customization is a plus. My custom desktop is a big deal to me and this is the final piece to the puzzle. I wasn't sure where else to go, so I thought hopefully a bunch of sound nerds knew of something. Help!
