Looking to get a set of earbuds and I'm wondering if the community has good recommendations.

They need to be noise canceling as I want to be able to talk on the phone over the loud subway announcements, something which I currently can't do without earphones.

I also used to have this pair of sony earbuds which wire was wrapped with some kind of fabric. They were really tangle free. Looking for something like that.

I'm not an audiophile at all so I'm not fussy about sound quality.

If you're not worried about sound quality, then what are you concerned about? If all you care about is noise-cancelling and non-tangle, then just a visual inspection should be sufficient. – Flimzy Nov 4 '11 at 8:16
