i'm approaching computer music after 13 years of "analog" style (i am a bass player). I have to admit i've never been the kind of studying musician: after learning the basics, i just played by feeling. Also, never felt much of a "straight" player, always wanted to experiment and try out something different. That's why i started looking elsewere from classical approach to music.

I started my search (artists, softwares and hardware) and stumbled into Four Tet, Caribou, Fridge, Apparat, Telefon Tel Aviv and i said "Wow, i want to play like that!"

I also want to keep things as simple as possible and after some tryouts (Ableton Live, Logic, Fruityloops) i got to try Audiomulch and... that's it! It' basically what i want to do, it fits perfectly with my 25midi keyboard (my only controller) and you can play infinite song just by adding/removing/chaining stuff on the fly. Fantastic!

So, after all this boring chatting, is there any audiomulch user? Or also any musician with my same ideas? What do you think about this? How do you approach your playing and lives?

As alternative musician i have 0 experience on basically everything. If you have any tips, setup, VST, software etc, you're welcome! This post can be usefull, i guess, for a lot of beginner with a lot of will like me!

This isn't much of a question, i know, it's more of a discussion-confront (here in italy, the "community" is a bit more closed and dj-oriented).

Share your toughts guys! And thanks in advance!

Would this "question" fit better on meta? chat? – Friend Of George Jul 28 '11 at 16:24
Welcome to AVP.Stackexchange and thanks for the question! Unfortunately, we need to close this kind of question since it's really more of a dialogue (per the faq). We look for specific, answerable questions about real problems you've run into. However this sort of thing fits great in our chatroom! – Warrior Bob Jul 28 '11 at 17:04
